Swatches:
These are the same as in PSP 6 they are your color swatches
and control only the foreground and background colors.
You can not select textures, gradients etc from this area. |
| Color Wheel/Picker:
This too is much the same. Running your cursor over
the area will turn it in to a dropper and you can select your
fore and background colors. |
| Styles:
This area contains the "painting" style you wish
to use. The options are gradient, patterned, and colored.
Clicking the arrow as before in PSP 6 switches the two of
them. Run your mouse over them and it will show you
NO FOREGROUND selected etc. |
| Textures:
This area contains the textures that you would want to use
when painting. Running the cursor over them tells you
what, if anything is selected. |
Lock:
Hee hee This thing was a nightmare in the beginning of the
private beta. We were kicking and screaming fiercely!
LOL Let me see if I can explain this in the usual Bonesy
Babble. When this is checked it locks the colors and
textures so the same combinations are available for all tools.
Unchecking allows each tool to have its own combinations
of colors and textures. Clear as mud? LOL
|
| RGB:
This, too, is still the same. When you run your cursor
over the wheel/picker and it turns in to the dropper this
is where the current color you are "hovering" over
is displayed. |
|
Now
how do you choose your textures, gradients and patterns?
Let's look and see !!
Head to the next page for some more detailed information
on using the new color palette.
