LVS Online School adds a new class for the next session! (Januuary) Filter Frenzy will be taught by Sally (aka Diz) and myself and we will be covering some of the more popular filters/plug-ins that are PSP & PS compatible. KPT, Blade Pro, AV Brothers, just to name a few. Head over and grab your seat now! They also still have their HTML courses, Flash, Dreamweaver and many more! Nothing you are interested in? Let them know! Want to teach a class? Submit the course to them! Instructions are on their main page, towards the bottom.
As usual I have added to the PSP 7 links page several times since the last newsletter. I know I had to have added atleast 100 new ones this round, they are really starting to pop up everywhere now and there are some really cute new ones so head over and check them out! There are some really cute ones starting to pop up. I also separated out the "help" tutorials so that they are easier to find when you are needing help, there is a link to them on the first page of links which is more "goofing off" type tutorials and stuff to play with. I had to remove some links as well for those sites that have taken their tutorials down so if you find any broken links still please EMAIL ME immediately, I am sure I probably missed a couple.
The survey I mentioned in the last newsletter has been a great success and I have had lots of request for various things, the tubes request when literally in the 100's and I did manage to fill a couple of the request for baby itmes, floral, and Scooby Doo! Check them all out on the Tubes Home page. I have also had a lot of request for specific tutorials, one being a tutorial on the all of the selection tools in PSP. I managed to get that one done and I am currently working on some of the photo editings tools in PSP, including, removing red eye and a couple more of the new photo enhancment tools. The survery is still up so if you haven't had a chance to fill it out yet, head over and fill it out real quick and I will do my best to get them up for you! |
I added a couple more pages of tubes, the main wone being Scooby Doo. I added a new tube display on the for Boopsie on the Third Party Tubes Page, she revamped her entire site and added some more really nice tubes! I started on some florals but there aren't many there yet. It is really hard to find royalty free images or images that someone else hasn't already made in to a tube in the floral category so if you have any real nice floral images that you would like to see made in to tubes please feel free to send them along to me and I will make them up and give you a link back to your site if you allow me to post a couple of them on my site, on the Third Partys Tubes page and also on the Floral page itself. Had a request for more "country type" tubes and I have that page started but no tubes uploaded yet but as soon as I get them finsihed and uplaoded I will announce it on the main page of the site so it will be easy to spot if you are one of the ones looking for them.
Ok peeps ! It's happening again! Apparently there has been all kinds of this going on again which I think is a damn shame, especially this time of the year! When someone writes a tutorial, the INSTANT the write the thing it is copyrighted to that person, this does NOT mean that the ending results of every tutorial is theirs JUST the tutorial, but the tutorial is THEIRS!! You can not copy the tutorial and change a word here and there and then claim it as your own! If you have another idea, or something to add to a really kewl tutorial you seen why can't you just write that author and tell them what you are doing and that it ends a bit differently or something like that and see if they don't just say yes, you would be surprised just how many times I have heard tutorial writers say, "If they would have just asked to start with, I probably would have just said SURE! Go ahead!" after they have been told that someone has stolen their tutorial and claimed as their own. IF you have to write that tutorial, give credit to the person who originated the tutorials idea please !! I am NOT a lawyer and I do NOT play one on TV <G> but even if it is NOT illegal to copy a tut of someone's (which it is) have a little " moral decency" and give the author credit for the idea along with a link to the original tutorial. If you would like to read more about copyright issues I have put together a small page of links containing information on copyrights, how to register a copyright and some of the general "Need to know items" involving copyright issues on the web. I will add more as time permits but what is there should be very helpful if you need help with this issue. |

Check out this months featured sites. PSP Plain Talk is a relatively new site, or at least new to me cuz I sure haven't seen it before now but it contains links to all kinds of stuff, tubes, brushes, mask, tutorials and more. The second site, is already a well known site which also features it's own bi-monthly newsletter filled with TONS of useful graphics information and PSP tips, PSP Power! I first was mentioned in the PSP Power Newsletter back in the October Edition, and have been mentioned a couple times since then. They have archives to help you find just the tip you need! |
